How this board is put together

A place board works for locals, travelers and anyone covering a city or region. It keeps practical alerts apart from general chatter and gives photos their own column, since the Media tab is where places look best.

All the columns share the same search term, france, and then narrow it. Latest columns open X's Latest tab sorted by time. Media columns open the Media tab, and Top columns open the default ranking, which favors posts with more engagement.

Make it fit

  • Many place names are shared with people, teams or products. Add the country or state to a column if the results drift.
  • Change lang:en in the Latest column to the local language code to hear from residents instead of visitors.
  • Engagement thresholds like min_faves: and min_retweets: are rough. Raise them if a column is noisy, drop them if it stays empty.
